We will be cooking Pozole Verde, a traditional soup or stew from the Mexican cuisine. It is made from hominy with meat (typically chicken or pork), and can be seasoned and garnished with shredded lettuce or cabbage, chili peppers, onion, garlic, radishes, avocado, salsa or limes, and herbs and spices. The name “verde” (which means “green” in Spanish) refers to the stew’s vibrant green color.
The stew is common across Mexico and neighbouring countries, served both as a day-to-day meal and as a festive dish.
In this cooking event, Nando will lead us as we explore the ingredients that make this beloved dish so special!
