Building Inclusive Communities
Join a panel of community members at a series of four online events to talk about multiculturalism, diversity and equity, immigration, and building a sense of belonging in our communities in the Sea to Sky and Sunshine Coast.
This event developed from an idea to explore and share the experiences of immigrants and newcomers in our communities through meaningful conversations. However, these topics affect more people than just immigrants and newcomers.
We invite Canadians from all racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds in the Sea to Sky and Sunshine Coast to participate in these important discussions.
Our communities depend on immigration for our population, workforce and economic growth. Immigrants also have an important role in our recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Over the next three years, Canada plans to welcome over 1.2 million new immigrants.
